Fondest Dream

In this life, we attempt to soar high,

Like eagles’ wing flapping above the sky

While gazing, the brightest star at nighttime,

It glitters with our heart’s cravings,

Hoping to reach our sundry of dreams

At times, our foot grip on thorny path

The road, liken to burning embers,

The fiery furnace, surmount the strength,

No way to escape…

As if hanging on steep cliff;

The huge and roaring waves of the sea,

Shattered on the bended knees!

The spirit became frail and slowly wanes

If this is life meant to be…

Where our spirit could find hope?

How could we reach the brilliant star?

How to freely soar like eagles?

To whom life finds comfort from sorrow and pain?

And how to reach life’s grandest dream

The body couldn’t bear the sting,

It’s getting weak and shudders down.

But far-off the lane, a candlelit

In life’s darkest path it blazed,

Ignites the ailing spirit,

As the wind gently gist,

Somebody tenderly whisper,

Such a loving voice, full of wonders:

“Nothing to fear on life’s wear and tear,

I will be your constant steer!”

He will lead us to the stars…

He will be on life’s sailing,

He mends the broken wings,

And conquer the stormy days,

Doubts and frustrations fade away

Peace, hope and security inhabit the senses.

Because Jesus is on our way!
